Case Study: Abbey Gardens
The design included upgrading the existing LV distribution systems with new rising power bus-bars from ground to seventh floor with new LV distribution boards and check meters to TM39. The large windows offer excellent natural light so luminaire control gear was selected to permit dimming via daylight sensors and fully automatic on/off via personnel movement controls. Lighting controls can be programmed so that a presence detector will only energise the lighting within its control zone and operated automatically with manual override which reverts to ‘off’ when the zone/area is unoccupied.
